iwrestledabearonce - It's All Happening (2009)

This stuff is hilarious. IWABO's music is pretty hard to describe, it's like a dozen different genres including techy 'nu-grind' and jazz and mashed together, plus clean female vocals. Kind of progressive in a ridiculous, but fun way. If you liked their previous stuff, you'll like this even more.

Splatter Whore - City Of The Sleazehounds (2009)

Compared to their EP, which is great, Splatter Whore's first full-length really isn't that good. The production is filthy, which shouldn't be a problem for porngrind, but the songs aren't really good either. I'm quite unsatisfied, but I gave it only one listen, so it might just be a bad first impression. I don't know, give it a try, you won't die from it.

Devourment - Unleash The Carnivore (2009)

Oh man, it was about time for this to leak, I was starting to get all nervous and shit. And guess what, the new album isn't even a disappointment. It sounds different from Butcher The Weak, a bit cleaner, although just slightly cleaner than the ridiculously awesome mess BTW is. The guitars are more audible, correcting one of the few weak points BTW had, and the drums sound better than ever. Everything else is just the same kind of shamelessly retarded brutality we all love.

Putrid Pile - House Of Dementia (2009)

Have you ever been browsing the internet so you could check loadown for some cool new albums and found something interesting yet there was no review? This is exactly a moment like that.

People, I'm not in the mood for all this right now, I'll write some stuff about the album later, when I'm not busy sobering up or getting drunk again. Seriously.

Vomitory - Carnage Euphoria (2009)

Vomitory have apparently decided to slow down a bit. The deathgrind vibe of Terrorize Brutalize Sodomize has changed to a more mid-paced, groovy style, which sounds like Bolt Thrower mixed with the trademark Swedish buzzsaw sound. Great album, although I still prefer the previous one.

Human Rejection - Decrepit To Insanity (2009)

Groovy brutal death from Greece. Low-tuned, lots of tremolo-picked riffs, chugs, breaks, nothing revolutionary but hell, is it catchy! The vocals are the typical Human Rejection kind, inhaled, with varying high and low pitches (similar to the vocals on the second Prostitute Disfigurement album), this is a love it or hate it thing, so I'll let you decide if it's a good thing or not. The production is better than the first album's, and again it's up to you if you prefer a more clean sound, or the muddy production of the debut. If the vocals don't turn you off, you'll surely dig this.

Blood Rainbow - Smelteries of Damnation (2005)

One of the best death metal albums ever imo! They are from my country, Hungary. Their music is melodic and catchy, but still brutal. Enjoy!

Viraemia - Viraemia (2009)

This is some insane tech death. I assume kiddies who like gravityblasts and sweep-picking are familiar with the band Brain Drill. Viraemia are pretty similar, except that Viraemia can actually write memorable songs. And that is quite an interesting feat, since many of today's "brutal technical death metal" bands are unable to achieve even mediocre status because you can barely tell the songs apart. Viraemia, on the other hand have no problem writing songs with good integrity, and of course an abundance of mind-blowing, underwear-shitting technicality.
Update: This is the EP of the year, and just because it's so awesome, I'm bumping it and adding mirrors for a 320 kbps rip. Enjoy.

Humanity Is Overrated - 2 Demos

Well, I'm not sure you will like it, that's some slowly-killing nonsense brutality, but hey, it's still awesome.

Dawn of Demise - Two albums

Finally I got my hands in the Dawn of Demise album, and even discovered that there also was a new EP. Personally this is one of my favourite bands, and if you're into other Danish artists such as Illdisposed, or just Suffocation which they are very influenced by, you should try these ones too. They have the usual intense growls, tons of hooklines, the double-pedals running constantly, the earthshaking breakdowns, lots of groove, and of course the riffs. Then ask yourself, what else do you need? I really have an acute fondness for this band, and I simply have to give the volume button a round or two to the right, so the sound level can have an adequate strength while my neck slowly sets into unbridled movement and my neighbours starts knocking on my door. They don't seem to have any tracks up at their myspace at the moment, so therefore I have posted a youtube sample for each album even though they are similar.

1st of May - Now let's get drunk!

Since I accidentally deleted the other 1st of May post because of a small misunderstanding, I'll now repost it and hope that people will contribute with their experiences once again. I apologize for the people who might have written a wall of text in the previous post, however now you'll have the chance to do it once again.

What did your 1st of May bring to you, beloved visitors of Loadown? (had to quote that)

Gojira - The Way of All Flesh (2008)

I saw someone was requesting Gojira in the shoutbox, [AS IN REQUESTING WE POST ALBUMS BY THE BAND] and since I was overwhelmed about their live performance this Monday I took some time to post a single album from the French band. The reason for just posting one album is simply because it's the only one that I actually like from them. However, these French dudes made some of the best live show I've ever seen. They even made the support, which was not that bad at all, look like shit compared to them. The only weakness of the album is that it can be very lengthy, so don't be too impatient while listening to it. The album cover is inside the folder, so don't bother searching for it. Oh, and by the way.. their bass guitar is fuckin awesome.

--drunk id_ adds that Gojira is "godzilla" translated.
