A Kid Hereafter In the Grinding Light - A Kid Hereafter In the Grinding Light (2008)

This band has mostly gained its reputation because of their lack of ability to take anything serious. It's started as a side-project and the frontman of the band is also having the same title for the band "A Kid Hereafter", a band playing various styles of experimental music which you also are able to hear in this album. It's containing 30 grindcore tracks which all are really special, and they're all contributing to make this album something unique. Everyone should be able to give this a try, if not you're completely contradictory against this kind of music.

Chimaira - The Infection (2009)

The new Chimaira which was released a week ago. To be honest, I'm very disappointed. This is probably the slowest album they made and I had been expecting a lot more. I was practically falling asleep while listening to the third song. Some of the tracks are superb to listen to once in a while, but overall I wouldn't recommend them. The album also has a 15 minute instrumental which is proper, but again, nothing special and you might just get bored.

Beneath The Massacre

Encyclopaedia Metallum | Last.fm | Myspace

Evidence Of Inequity (2005)
Download: Rapidshare
Quality: ~261 kbps MP3 / VBR V2

Mechanics Of Dysfunction (2007)
Download: Rapidshare
Quality: ~245 kbps MP3 / VBR V2

Dystopia (2008)
Download: Rapidshare
Quality: ~230 kbps MP3 / VBR V2

Many accuse Beneath The Massacre for being just another "br00tal tech wank" band, but I beg to differ. Altough you can definitely hear a lot of hyperspeed blasts, flashy sweep picked riffs, seemingly random stop-start rhythms (and there's a lot of them) and even a minimal amount of hardcore influence, but the thing I found captivating about BTM's music is that it's very machine-like. Almost similar to industrial in an awkward way, even though there are no fancy special effects. The instruments are pushed to their limits yet they are in perfect harmony; everything is played extremely fast with breathtaking skill, and every note is placed precisely where it has to be, plunged into a rigid death metal sound.

Abruptum

This is a compilation of the "Hexum Galaem Zelog" and "Satanist Tunes" demos, plus the "Evil" 7" EP.
What about album - This release is a great chance for the younger blacksters to realize the stupidity and fake image of many Black Metal bands this scene has nowadays. Since we are talking about an authentic Black Metal release, do not expect bonus stuff like videos and bullshit. I even feel unable to rate such a band. Warning, despite my magnificent words and the long review, do not expect the top release for 2007. As I previously said this is only for fans of this band and people who want to witness the gloriousness of authentic Black Metal. Think carefully before listening this album. It is up to you.

This is first full length album of Abruptum! Only two tracks. But there are very suicidal and painful. Have you ever felt the compulsive need to slice your wrists or those of all the people around you? Have you ever truly gazed into the Abyss? Have you seen the crimson demon wings demanding utter obedience and urging your pathetic waste of flesh to commit unspeakable atrocities? This album gives it.

Second album become more schizophrenic and suicidal. This album was made by Morgan from MARDUK.

In place of review I insert words from the back side of CD cover:
"Abruptum does not take responsibility for any actions made under the influence of this album. Remember that Abruptum is the audial essence of pure black coil and listening to it is at your own risk."
So, do conclusions about music of this project. I think that my words are nothing about it.

Wargore - Decadence Of Benevolence (2003)

Brutal death from Italy, with awesome drum sound. That's their only release.

Absolute Defiance - Systematic Terror Decimation (2002)

Fucking Ultra Necro Guttural Porno Noize Brutal Death/Grind from Indonesia! If you are death metal fan who doesn’t care about originality, only about brutality, then this album is definitely worth the try!

Absidia - Written in Minor Key (2001)

Mixing up the melodic and chaotic attributes of Dismember, Carcass, and older Arch Enemy, this album stay in my music collection. Vocals are generally of the higher toned class, a la Tomas Lindberg (At The Gates, Nightrage), but occasionally the tracks are graced with a more gargled approach similar to Jeff Walker (Carcass). Musically, all instruments are played with technicality, precision, and skill; melodic yet overflowing with an endless aggression. Bottom line: Fucking ferocious!

The Dark Prison Massacre - My Cock Is The Truth (2008)

Slam death from China, with 3 vocalist. This demo contains only 2 songs, but they're awesome. Everything sounds good in this release, and the vocals are perfect.

Agoraphobic Nosebleed - Agorapocalypse (2009)

I know it's on Relapse, so I doubt this will last long. Hence no album art.

This album is a total reinvention of AN. On first sight I thought this was a b-sides or a split comp or some crap Hull pushed out cuz he needs money.
OH FUCKING CRAP WAS I WRONG

Three vocalists, one of whom is female who does a wonderful job of sounding like she'll break your dick off, and still sounding like a woman (I hate chick vox that i can't tell are chicks) and (I'm pretty darn sure) an actual drummer (or they got really good with the machine)! Plus Kat (lady vox) looks like she's 16 and hot, heh.
an she was on the crom split too

From their own press release this release is an effort to add: Thrash, Speed Metal and Hardcore to the audio abortion that is Agoraphobic Nosebleed.

It's fucking wonderful.

Absent - Audi... Vide... Sile (2005)

I can't find this CD, but in VBR it is also sound great! Brutal Death Metal from Poland! Underground band, but not bad! I wish I say that this album is great! Well, if begin to find analog groups I can say that Absent plays among LOST SOUL and AZARATH. Sometimes remembered BEHEMOTH! But ABSENT faster and brutally! Good beginning group! Also ABSENT is a new project of Heter (BLOODLUST, DISSENTER).

Drive-By Bukkake - Midnight Manslaughter (2008)

First, it opens with a sample from Office Space.. thus, win. For some reason this reminds me of early Necrophagia with more thrash, vocally and musically. Lyrics are misogynistic and hilarious. Plenty of samples through out, so if your not into samples, then you may have issues. Otherwise this is a very straight-forward violent thrash effort. Production seems a wee weak, but your not here for that are you?
Enjoy!
PS, sorry I forgot original blog i gnabbed this off.

The Project Hate MCMXCIX - Armageddon March Eternal (Symphonies of Slit Wrists) [2005]

Long band name, long title. Do not get discouraged my friends, nay.
Industrial Death Metal in short. Add in elements of melody and a heaping of female vocals and high dose of anti-christian lyrics and you have yourself a Project Hate. It's got enough variation per song to keep your attention span, and delivers quiet well as far as production and overall 'oomph'. I suggest checking out the last.fm or myspace for an idea.

And if this goes well, I have other releases by them.

I Built The Cross - Pre - EP (2008)

Yet another Christian band. This is old members from Disfiguring the Goddess which I will be making another review with tonight. This EP is just containing 3 tracks and I can highly recommend all of them. Even though the sound is poor the music still kicks ass, and if I had to find someone to compare them with, it would be.. The Red Shore, maybe? This is rare, and I'm definitely looking forward to see some more from them.

Impending Doom - Nailed. Dead. Risen. (2007)

I promised you the album and sorry for being late with it. I will not be posting their Myspace & Last.fm for the fact that it will be the "old" Impending that you'll see. As a replacement for that I will post a YouTube sample so you can have a feeling of what the album's like. Anyway, this album is my favourite of all times and you might just have to give it a few minutes before judging it. And also stop showing yourself as a giant douche by saying that they suck because they're Christians. I'm posting this because I would like to share what I like the best. Not to have a debate of whether Christians make good music or not.

Devourment - Unleash The Carnivore (2009) [2 songs off the CD]

This is no joke, these are two songs off the new album. Basically they're both like you would expect from the band. The only slight turnoff is that the vocalist rarely shuts up. It's easy to get used to though.

Dance Club Massacre - Circle of Death (2008)

DANCE CLUB MOTHERFUCKING COCKSUCKING BITCH ASS TITTIE SLAPPING MASSACRE. That's what they like to describe themself as. Kind of pathetic. So, this is another deathcore band from the USA, and I honestly like it myself. The sound is fresh, it's original and unique. It's actually so unique that I'll let the album speaks for itself. I'm actually kind of looking forward to see how many who will down this album. Don't ask me why.

Bird Eater - Utah (2007)

I would call this chaotic grindcore. Not anything that you would like to listen to several hours in a row. However it may be a big hit for some people, and it doesn't surprise me. Compared to that it's their first EP released they do really good. But there's still one thing that leaves a major mystery inside my head. They call themselves "Bird Eater", but I don't see any birds or anything similar to it. Just a dead horse on the album cover and annoying horse sounds during the whole album. I might just be really dumb, but it doesn't make any sense to me.

April Fool's '09

Finally, the long-awaited third Devourment album is here! And it lives up to every expectation. It's the same kind of relentless brutality Devourment have become known for. It sounds about the same as the Butcher The Weak remaster, dare I say, with better songs. This album is amazing, and has probably beaten everything to being the album of the year, even the ones that aren't even released or recorded. Long live Devourment!
Sorry guys, I had to. Worry not, as soon as it leaks, I will post the real album.

Impending Doom - The Serpent Servant (2009)

This album was released yesterday and you have no idea about how long I had been waiting for it. Even though I miss the old Impending, they're still the shit. And by the shit I mean fucking awesome. Just don't expect the same as from the Nailed. Dead. Risen. album. One of the things that I miss the most from that album was the intense inhale growls. Sadly they're gone now, but this album is completely replacing it. In a good way. The drums has been improved a lot, and they got some really sweet breakdowns. Hopefully this "new" style of theirs will attract more people to the band. This is the best Christian band alive, and I doubt that they'll ever lose that title. For those of you who wants the old album, I'll make a review on it tomorrow so you'll have something to look forward to.
