I found this today... I have mixed feelings about In Flames. You gotta admit, they've been doing a lot of shitty music lately. And folks, I'm not gonna lie, I think this sucks ass terribly. I haven't listened to it yet and I'm not that curious because I lost interest years ago, but I'll give it a try someday. I'm still quite afraid of being frightened by what I'm going to hear. I mean just look at the cover. You can't judge music by the album's cover, but in this situation I think they kinda match. This band is beyond redemption. Well, have fun with it anyway. Maybe somebody will enjoy this.

Hehehe, i won't listen to it either, but thanks for the effort!!
its real bad. i mean it was a chore to listen to. honestly everyone is better off staying away.
this one sucks hard
I`m listening to the album right now, it sounds like In Flames to me. The songs are alittle shorter and alittle catchier, definitely going to get some air play, and win over some new fans. I don`t know maybe its just me.
S.
this album is defiantly different then their older works, but like said above it does sound like in flames. I personally like they way they are going. They are trending more to the mello-death metal rather they the melodic death metal. i like this album so far from what i have heard.
Having hated the last few albums I admit i wanted to hate this one too. Thing is, it isn't bad at all-way heavier than i thought it was gonna be. Several friends who wrote this band off years ago also seem to like it. Maybe it's because my expectations were so low but i rather like it and was pleasantly surprised.
I don't understand my fellow metalheads. Let me get this straight...most of you haven't even heard it, and you're ripping it a new asshole. First off, I think it's amazing. The guitar melodies are flawless, the song structure is actually quite suprising (listen to the chosen pessimist and try to disagree...), and anders' vocals get better and better each album. (Please, I dare you to listen to jester race and tell me these vocals are worse...quit kidding yourselves.) Bottom line, people stop listening to bands once they taste success...because success isn't "trendy" enough for you. It's ridiculous...and it's happened countless times. In Flames is amazing, and what they're doing is exactly what they should do...musically evolve. If they kept pumping out the same bullshit, you'd hate that too...so figure it the fuck out. I think 9 albums that are all unique in their own way and yet geniusly written is something hard to come by. Stop jacking off to rain in blood and shut the fuck up.
i agree with the guy above, i love inflames, and everyone of their cds seems to be flowing in the same direction as the music i like. great stuff, cant wait to pick up the album later, these youtube vids are killing me
ive always seen in flames rivals with soilwork. soilwork somehow managed to adapt todays style of melo death and still sound awsome. it seems that in flames are trying to follow in their footsteps, and have instead started following a trail of footsteps that lead to an edge of a cliff. Some of the songs sound too similar, and they really need to stop layering screaming and clean vocals together in the chorus, it just ruins it.
Stay away from this one, you're better off waiting for Scar Symmetry's new album to come out.
uhh...I see we're having some discussions goin on here.
I say fuckit. I didn't bother listening to this, simply because I don't care.
there's a dozen other new albums to check out, and I prefer listening to quite much anything other than in flames.
if you want some good new melodic death, get the new arsis or arghoslent. if you want some good "modern metal", get ted maul or the new violent work of art, or whatever...I've really lost interest in in flames.
I can't believe that anyone just said that In Flames followed in Soilwork's footsteps. What??? In Flames pioneered melodic death metal long before Soilwork was even a band buddy. I'm a huge fan of both bands...but that comment was ridiculous. And Scar Symmetry is just a painfully distasteful ripoff of Soilwork...
Do Your Homework!
i think this album sux and i disagree with guy above me, soilwork rules and sworn to a great divide is way better than this album
I'm sorry, but I haven't found too much exciting about this album as much as I've been listening to it. But seriously, I haven't been too impressed with anything after Clayman. I feel that (man am I going to get flamed...) they have really become emo. And I mean like whiney emo (except with a modic-death metal scream). Last concert I went to there were more emo punks than hardcore metal fans, it was sad! Come Clarity had its moments, but I feel like most were ruined after the first hook went by. Anywho, my picks on this album would have to be: Condemned (Soundtrack esque, which wasn't horrible), Drenched In Fear (very new melodic death)... pretty much, everything after The Chosen Pessimist (I mean WTF, you messed up with Come Clarity, you're going to do ANOTHER slow, non-metal song?).
Here's another link to it.

DUDE WHAT THE HELL! You say that you haven't heard their shit in years and yet you say this album sucks shit...I personally don't get that shit.
Sure their sound has changed alot from their their demo cassette (which i have!) but you can't criticize them for change, all bands do it and this case its for the better.
The album is actually pretty good if you take the time to actually LISTEN to it. Who cares if they slowed down just abit, the in flames style is still there. The melodies are amazing and like some one said before the vocals are even better than the previous albums. I suggest you buy it and listen it to it! Don't try to say something sucks ass before you even hear it....dumbshits
I've heard quite enough to tell I'm not interested, but thanks.
and no, the in flames style has been gone for several years. but even that wouldn't spark interest in me.
I will give it a proper listen if that makes you happier.
I didn't like this album, it was boring and formulaic. I think "the mirror's truth" was a good song but on the whole I think even Soundtrack to Your Escape was better than this, I mean, at least I can remember the tunes off it. I went through the whole of this album and can remember fuck all of it. I mean, what happened to those brilliant tunes off Come Clarity? Although nothing like the beautiful album that the Jester Race was, it was a pretty energetic and memorable one
This album is flawless, shut your fucking mouths and go buy it you nobody pussies, go learn a trade, and shut the fuck up.
just coz in flames have started making new music dosnt make it crap
admittidly it is a new style for them, and they aint quite there yet but dont write them off for moving on. some songs on this are better than older albums, ok, none of them well ever meet up 2 episode 666 or most of jester race but they still have a definet conviction in music so i comend them for attempting to change
