Punishing, fast paced technical brutal death. These guys have great skill, just listen how they incorporate those incredible melodies. Don't get me wrong, Gorgasm aren't flowery or weakish, the music is always sick and heavy but these guys add lots of very neat and technical solutions to make it melodic at times, and it doesn't lack brutality or gets boring for a minute.

Municipal Waste - Hazardous Mutation (2005)
Summer's here, and it's time to party. I coudn't think of a more party-oriented band than Municipal Waste, they're pure alcohol-fueled blazing fast aggressiveness, my favourite crossover/thrash band. This is their second album, in my opinion their best. Their first is more raw crossover, while the latest is more thrash. I think they got it best on this one, it has aspects equally of both styles, and is packed with even energy than the others, must-have music for parties. So what are you waiting for? Throw in Hazardous Mutation, grab a six pack, and get moving, woot!

"There are those albums that are always hard to find in a genre of metal that really stick out. There are a lot of albums that I really enjoy, but rarely have I found them unique enough to listen to them beyond once every few weeks. This album is completely different. I had found this gem before I had ever grown a taste in symphonic metal, and always found it nothing more than great. After listening to it for the fifth time recently, I decided to review it. My opinions on the album have completely changed since I first put it threw my speakers.
First off, this is different from the other Eternal Tears of Sorrow albums. If you’ve listened too Chaotic Beauty or A Virgin and a Whore, you’ll know that the sound is rather different. This album has hints of gothic metal in it, something that the other albums don’t. Guitar work is cleaner as opposed to the other 2 albums before this. On the most part, Gothenburg riffs are present mixed in with the odd few gothic metal riffs. Take notice on this, as it really helps the overall sound that they put into this album quite successful. It’s also a bit slower than their older albums, but also much better in terms of solos and riffs.
Atmosphere wise, you’re getting the same Eternal Tears of Sorrow. The sound may have changed; however, they maintain every atmospheric element from before. The way they deliver though on this one, is through the symphonic elements. Unlike the other older material, the keyboards really drive the sound they obtained on Before the Bleeding Sun rather than it being the guitars. Perfect examples are during “Another Me” and “Sinister Rain”. However, just because the keyboards are most present doesn’t mean you can’t hear every instrument. Everything is easily heard, with a very well done production summing up to excellent sound and atmosphere. If you want melancholy, this is the album for you.
If you enjoy Skyfire, you owe it to yourself to check this release out. If you happen to be a gothic metal fan, I’d strongly recommend this to you. It’s perfect, having a really nice flow that no other band has really put out for the genre."

"Eternal Tears Of Sorrow. The face of melodic death metal. This is their latest release "A Virgin And A Whore". What can I say about it? It's just as great as the rest of their albums. They truly keep up their good reputation that they got after "Chaotic Beauty". ETOS has become legends on the metal scene. There is not one true metalhead that doesn't know about them. Their soft and cozy death metal is just great.
On the last album "Chaotic Beauty" we got to hear a lot of keyboards in the music. This continues on this CD. The opening track "Aurora Borealis" holds a great standard with fast and super melodic keyboards. It almost made me lose my control when I first heard it. But not all songs are filled with hysteric keyboards. The song "Blood and hatred" holds no melodic keyboards at all. It's a great song based on true guitar fondleing."

The quintessential deathcore band. The have every aesthetic of the style, add a lot of speed and grind, and add what lots of today's deathcore bands lack: creativity and originality. Misericordiam have a unique sound and distinctive style, and are not generic in any way. Look at their picture: I don't think you'd expect such a punishingly fast and brutal band to look like they do, and that's what I love about them, they're just being themselves, aswell as in their music: not following the newest trends by acting "br00tal" and being generic, but making something new, unique, and keep doing it regardless of everything else.

Carnal Diafragma - Space Symphony Around Us (2006)

I downloaded this a few hours ago, and I've been ejoying it since... if fact, it's so good that I decided to upload it and share it right away. It's Czech goregrind, with top-notch songwriting and production. The songs are somewhat similar to their countrymen Ahumado Granujo, (but without the techno/electro parts) with a similar groove and humorous touch. They aren't trying to push the borders of musical extremity, but to make brutal goregrind that's groovy and enjoyable, and do this flawlessly.
Dying Fetus - Killing On Adrenaline (1998)
Devourment - Butcher The Weak (2006) (remastered)
These guys were one of the bands that "invented" slam death metal, which is a pretty neat thing, and they also add to the awesomeness by remastering their latest full-lenght. The music and production is top-notch, and I can't say a bad thing about it. For me it's a masterpiece and a huge favourite, try for yourself, you have all my recommendation.Despondency - God On Acid (2003)

The genre is from Texas, but the band is from Germany. Yepp, these guys play brutal slam-death, and take it to perfection. It has every aesthetic of slamming death metal, and the riffage is suprisingly creative. You prolly noticed that many bands in the genre lack variety in riffs (some actually lack riffs themselves, playing the same note over and over again...) but these guys do an excellent job at writing riffs. There's nothing boring on the album, it will do more than please the fans of slam-death.

Christian Epidemic - Eltörölt Világ / World Erased (2002)
Christian epidemic is a blackened death metal band from Hungary. This post is quite special is a few ways... For example, it's the first own rip that's posted by me here. :) The other thing is that the band gave me permission to upload and share the album. You should also know that they release all their full-lengths as double CDs (one with Hungarian vocals, and one with English, but the music is quite much the same) so that's why there are two download-links here. Enjoy!

Necrophagia - Harvest Ritual Volume I (2005)

Latest full-length of an age-old death metal band (Metal Archives says they were formed in 1983!) we might also call them the fathers of gore metal, since they're famous for using horror/gore related lyrics and making songs with such atmosphere. I enjoy the album, it's very good death metal (if not a bit repetiteve sometimes) and a great listen especially for fans of horror/gore themed musick.

Mucopus - Mulch?!? (2005)

Mucopus play a really weird kind of death metal... I'd best say it's brutal death, but they have lots of other influences, for example grind and hardcore, but they aren't afraid to experiment with other thigs such as weird time signatures and insane grooves... I mean the grooves really fuck the grandma, they sound like Pro-Pain going brutal, and make totally crazy breakdowns. There's shitloads of riffs, all very technical and crushing, crazy song structures, breakdowns, so you can definetly keep up vigorously headbanging while moshing or applying the lower-throw on every nearby random person. I'd also mention that the singer is Jason Keyser from Skinless who's an excellent vocalist in my opinion, and he does a great job in Mucopus aswell. Get this stuff now... I went through hell to label the files correctly, and I made it easier for you. You know what to do...
Stabwound - Bloodsoaked Serenades (2002)

First EP of the crazy brutal slamdeath band who brought us Human Boundaries (which is a great album btw) there are just a few short songs here, but they're all excellent, plus there's a bonus track, a cover of Dying Fetus' Kill Your Mother Rape Your Dog which is my favourite cover ever. A must for fans of brutal/slam/txdm, but highly recommended for everyone who's into devastating music!
Dies Irae - Sculpture Of Stone (2004)

Excellent and uncompromising Polish death metal. Quite similar is stlye to Vader, though I prefer the vocals of Dies Irae, and the riffs are often more creative. Recommended for all fans of death metal.
